The purpose of this communication is to inform you that earlier today we received information about a potential threat against one of our students at Everest Middle School. Immediately upon receiving this information, our school district contacted the Brown County Sheriff's Office to ensure the necessary procedures were followed for the safety of our students and staff.
Our students and staff's safety and security are always our top priority, and we take all threats very seriously. We have been working diligently with the Sheriff's Office as they conduct their investigation.
I want to commend the Sheriff's Office for their response and help, our Staff at EMS for their professionalism, and our students for doing the right thing, if you hear something say something.
Safety will always be our top priority and all threats will be taken seriously and will not be tolerated. We appreciate your continued support of our students, staff, and school community during this time.
Sincerely,
Jason Cline
