Horton Varsity Chargers were triumphant over Pleasant Ridge Varsity Lady Rams 10-7 on Monday at McLouth High School. Horton Varsity Chargers opened the scoring in the top of the first thanks to two steals of home. Horton Varsity Chargers first got on the board when a steal of home scored one run. Pleasant Ridge Varsity Lady Rams took the lead in the bottom of the third inning after Kelsi Ko tripled, Gabby Major doubled, and Major stole home, each scoring one run. Horton Varsity Chargers took the lead in the top of the fifth inning after Hailey Bunck singled, Laila Pahmahmie grounded out, Bunck stole home, Alexis Becker was struck by a pitch, Cheyanne Cummins singled, Allison Wilson singled, Bunck walked, and Pahmahmie was struck by a pitch, each scoring one run. Becker started in the circle for Horton Varsity Chargers. They allowed 11 hits and seven runs over seven innings, striking out 18 and walking two. Aubrey Gillaspie stepped in the circle first for Pleasant Ridge Varsity Lady Rams.
