Dear USD 430 Families,
As the Superintendent of South Brown County Schools - USD 430, it is with great excitement that I welcome you back to a new school year! I hope this letter finds you just as excited about the upcoming school year as I am. Our districtwide theme this year is Destination: Limitless. The meaning behind this theme provides focus to our commitment to building a roadmap for the limitless opportunities for our students and their futures. Staff are ready to welcome you and your students back and are prepared for another year of growth, learning, and success.
This year, our focus will be on three key areas that we believe are essential for the success of our students: literacy, post-secondary readiness, and family and community engagement.
Literacy is the foundation of all learning, and we are committed to ensuring that every student becomes a confident and capable reader. Our teachers will be utilizing innovative strategies and resources to support literacy development at all grade levels. We encourage you to foster a love of reading at home by reading with your child, discussing books, and setting aside time for them to explore their interests through reading.
Preparing our students for post-secondary success is another priority. Whether our students are heading to college, entering the workforce, or pursuing other paths, we are dedicated to equipping them with the skills and knowledge they need to succeed. This year, we will be expanding our college and career readiness programs, offering more opportunities for students to explore their interests and plan for their futures.
Finally, we know that family and community engagement is key to the success of our schools. We are committed to building strong partnerships with our families and community members. Your involvement in your child's education makes a significant difference, and we invite you to participate in school events, join parent-teacher organizations, and stay informed about what’s happening in our schools.
