Congratulations to the Horton High School Volleyball team and their coaches, Kristin Fassnacht (Head Coach), Kerrie Howard, and Daspin Bruning (Assistant Coaches), for an incredible season! The team is the 2024 North East Kansas League Champion, this is the first in 35 years. They are also Regional Champions, and Sub-State Runners-Up with a 30-13 record. Outstanding work, team and coaches!
Congratulations also go out to the Horton High School Football team and coaches Beau Gadwood (Head Coach), David Losey, and Derek Richardson (Assistant Coaches). The team closed out the season with two big wins, securing 4th place in the district and their first playoff berth since 2014. They’ll face Pittsburg Colgan at Pittsburg High School in Pittsburg, KS, on Thursday, October 31, at 6:00 p.m. Great job, team and coaches!
FCCLA Regional Fall Leadership Conference – November 6
On November 6, Horton High School will host the FCCLA Regional Fall Leadership Conference, with 34 of our students participating. Students not involved in the event will be out on Career Field Days, with exciting hands-on experiences scheduled throughout the day:
