We have successfully completed the first quarter of the 2021-2022 school year. As we move into the second quarter of school I want to remind everyone of some important dates and events coming up throughout the district.
*November is Native American Heritage Month, students will be celebrating, learning, and sharing about their heritage all month long.
*November 2, is election day. This year voters in USD 430 will be deciding three open seats on the Board of Education along with a $7 million dollar bond project. The bond question appearing on the ballot will focus on facility improvements. If approved, the bond funds will provide HVAC upgrades, energy-efficient doors and windows, and improved security in the form of buzz in camera system, keypad entry, and new door locks; and exterior restorations at all schools. *November 23, Best of the Best Nomination Forms are due. Information will be sent out on the district website and Facebook Page.
*November 11, we will be honoring our wonderful Veterans. The annual Everest Middle School Veterans Program will start at 10:00 AM.
*November 24-26, USD 430 will be closed for Thanksgiving.
As we continue the school year please take time to review the USD 430 Strategic Plan (which can be found on the district website under Menu and then listed under the District Heading). Our Strategic Plan helps us in planning, making decisions, and guides us in the direction we are moving. USD 430 has come a long way since the beginning of our plan. As we near the last year and a half of our plan please take a few minutes to reflect on the improvements that have been made along with the improvements that are still needed. We will continue to move forward, update the curriculum, expand our resources, and find creative ways to inspire learning as we prepare students for their future.
