Tomorrow's basketball games will be moved up 30 minutes do to incoming weather. JV girls will start at 4:00pm and will play only a 1/2 game. JV boys will be a full game will Varsity girls starting as early as 5:30 pm.

EMS boys basketball will host their final home game of the season tonight at 4:30 vs JCN. (B-C-A). Come to Parent/Teacher conferences, then watch the games!

We will continue to have the regularly scheduled conferences tomorrow, Thursday, February 13th from 8 AM to 8 PM in each building.
Please contact your child's teacher if you need to make a change to your conference time.


Due to school closure & weather conditions, tonight's parent-teacher conferences are rescheduled to next Wednesday, February 19, from 4 PM to 8 PM. Due to the inclement weather forecast and current snowfall, USD 430—South Brown County Schools will be closed on Wednesday, February 12, 2025.


On Tuesday, February 11th, the 7th and 8th Grade Choir, The Everest Elite, traveled to Atchison for our annual NEKL Mass Choir event! At this event, the students have learned 4 selections of music separately to be brought together to sing as one large choir! Over 200 middle school students were in attendance! Thank you to our host, St. Benedict Catholic School and thank you to our phenomenal clinician, Julie Underwood, the choral director at Atchison High School!


We want to inform you that Horton High School students will not have school on Wednesday, February 19, as we will be hosting the NEK Forensics Tournament. Only students competing in the tournament will be in the building that day, while all others will be excused from school. All high school faculty and staff will be needed to run the event so we will not be able to have a career day as in the past.
Please note that Everest Middle School and Horton Elementary will still be in session as usual.

Announcing Tryouts for the HHS Spring Play



Due to incoming weather we are moving tomorrow's start time vs McLouth up to 3:00. Senior night of the following sports/clubs: basketball, powerlifting, dance, advanced choir, wrestling, scholars bowl, and forensics will be at approximately 6:30.

Congratulations to Sophomore, Bobbi Becker and Junior, Tori Jelks for their performances at Baker University for the Regional Piano Festival on Saturday, February 8th! Bobbi received a II rating. Tori received a I rating and qualified to perform at the State Piano Festival at Wichita State University on Saturday, February 22nd. The competition was fierce, and both of these ladies showed that their hard work has paid off!
