Mrs D's Kindergarten and Mrs. Becker's 4th grade met their buddy room this morning. We read books and colored a friendship page together! 🖍️💜
The high school yearbook staff has been discussing design elements and layout for this year's book. They applied the skills discussed by making a charcuterie board in groups. The themes were Halloween and the 4th of July

Football jamboree update!
The jamboree at Baker University has been changed to Saturday, August 26th at 9 AM.
Admission fee: $5
Calling all high school students with ANY interest in musical theatre, auditions for the fall musical are happening next week! Curtains School Edition is a classic Whodunnit musical within a musical full of twists that will keep any audience and cast on their toes! Singing, dancing, drama, snark, puns, this show has it all!
This musical is also very flexible, allowing for as large of a cast as we desire, so all high schoolers that want to be in this show, will be! Rehearsals take place on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday nights in the fall semester and the directors are very happy to work with your athletic schedules! (Don't let Tues. night volleyball games stop you from joining, we will work with you!) The musical is also free to participate in!
Auditions are a group event, meaning all music and lines will be taught to you during the audition process. You will not need to prepare anything on your own before those evenings. You are encouraged to be at both evenings of auditions if possible! These auditions are taking place on August 29th and 31st from 7 to 9pm in the high school auditiorium!

Just a reminder to turn in your family mission statements to the school when you're finished! These will be up all year. If you need a copy of the template, please let your teacher know or you can grab one from the office! 🖍️
CHARGER FOOTBALL UPDATE
Middle School student-athletes will practice at Horton Elementary School, Tuesday - Thursday of this week. A bus will transport students from Charger Field to HES and back to the field at the conclusion of practice.
Pick-up will remain at Charger Field.
We're off to a great start at Horton Elementary School!
UPDATE ON FOOTBALL PRACTICES - 8/21-24
Monday: 7th-12th grades meet at locker rooms @ 6:40 PM. Athletes will walk to HHS gym for practice 7 - 8 PM. Pick up at HHS.
Tuesday - Thursday: 7th-8th grade athletes - Bus to field from EMS, walk to Armory for indoor practice at regular time. Normal pickup/activity bus @ Charger Field.
High School athletes - 6 AM - 7:30 AM practice @ Charger Field

Junior Parents - This is a reminder there is a junior class parent meeting tonight Monday, August, 21 at 7:00 in the high school commons. We will be planning and signing up for this years parent organized prom fundraisers.

High School & Middle School Football and Cross Country:
Due to the high temperatures in the forecast & for the safety of the student-athletes, practice time will be moved to different times for Monday - Thursday this week.
Cross Country will practice 6 AM - 7 AM.
Football will practice from 6 PM - 8 PM.
Hydration will be extremely important for the athletes before they get to practice. Please drink plenty of water.
