HES is working on creating a family engaged environment! On back to school night, we would love for your family to participate in our family mission statement activity. This will be located in the front office and you can stop to grab your template on your way out! 🖍️
Your family mission will be posted on our family mission statement board for the school year, so your child will have a home connection here at school. Ideas are posted on the pictures below, along with what the template will look like to help your family start brainstorming. 🏡

Senior Parents - this is a reminder that there will be a meeting Monday, August 14, at 6:00 in the HS Commons. This is a planning meeting for the year's activities Senior Parents. See you there!
A district goal is to increase our reading scores. Yesterday, Cathy Esquibel worked with teachers in all subject areas on how to harness reading in their classrooms.
Staff focused on the Big 5 & gained strategies that can be used across all grade levels - no matter the course.

Dr. Kramer provided ice cream for the EMS staff today. Thank you so much! We are looking forward to the start of the school year.
Manning Music from Topeka will be at the Everest Middle School back to school night on August 15, to explain instrument rental and to help answer any questions about instruments, books, repair, and accessories. We will do instrument trials on the 16th and will be able to do a few at the open house. Please come to the band room so Mr. Vittetoe can meet you and help with any questions about our band program at USD 430!

Staff is back in USD 430! Yesterday, all staff returned to school! We had a delicious breakfast sponsored by First Option Bank, then the opening message. Dr. Kramer kicked off 2023-24 with a message of "This is Us" and ended with activities to share what USD 430 means to staff!
