Congratulations to Gannon Becker & Kara CoversUp for being selected to the 2023 McLouth Invitational All-Tournament Team. The Tournament Team was selected by the Opposing Coaches in the Tournament.
Everest Middle School held its schoolwide spelling bee today. Participants were: Josie Baker, Katani Ortiz, Bailey Dvorak, Raylee Wahwasuck, Noah Fassnacht, Addy Oswald, Matthew Dickson, Chanelle Blacksmith, Kaia Hooper, Haley Scott, Wallace Wakole, Jeremy Jermyn.
Jeremy Jermyn, Wallace Wakole, Noah Fassnacht, Josie Baker and Matthew Dickson will be representing Everest Middle School at the Brown County Spelling Bee on February 10. Raylee Wahwasuck will be the alternate.
The top speller was Noah Fassnacht with the word "peevish".

EMS students participated in the Knights of Columbus free throw competition last week. 1st and 2nd place medals were given in each division. The 1st place winner will compete at the District competition on Saturday, Jan. 28 at Horton High School. Competition starts at 10 am. Nice job Chargers!
The sixth grade is learning about human body systems. We’ve learned how they all work together to make our bodies work. Here we are learning to check our heart rates.
Congratulations to first and second place winners for the first round of the 2023 Knights of Columbus Free Throw shooting contest in the 9 year old division! First place winners will participate in the district contest this weekend at Horton High School.

Congratulations to the HES Charger All-Stars this week! Students have learned the importance of building others Emotional Bank Accounts and to consider other people's wins as well as their own. This week we will be talking about having an Abundance Mentality and will discuss the importance of balancing Courage and Consideration for a Win-Win.
Mrs. Hisle’s Kindergartners & Mrs. Wischropp’s 2nd Graders worked together on a “Think Win-Win” project. After reading “The Rainbow Fish”, 2nd Graders helped their K buddies make fish by tracing their hand on blue paper & adding scales, including some very special ones. Win-Win!
A huge shout out to the Brown County Sheriff deputies. They are holding a CPR class for our HHS Seniors!
Mrs. Scherer was our “Word of the Day” winner during week two.

Reminder for EMS 7th/8th Choir students that we are singing the National Anthem for our home game tomorrow, Jan 23rd! Please meet in the choir room by 4:15pm to warm up as a group! If you need to stay after school, the choir room will be open for you to wait in until we sing!
HHS Boys Basketball: The Boys Basketball Team will travel to JCN tonight. JV-Boys will start at 6:00pm & the Varsity Boys will immediately follow the JV game and will start around 7:15-7:30. (No Girls Games Tonight)
