Using Amanda Zieba’s reading comprehension strategy, students used Play-Doh to create symbols of what was read in class. After they sculpted the creations, students wrote a reflection page on how the creation represented what was read.

The 5th & 6th Grade students learned about International Dot Day in the library. Dot Day is to remind the students to be creative and imaginative and show self expression. The students drew a picture and colored their "dot." They cut out the circle and then cut it into 4 pieces. Then they kept 1 piece and traded the other 3. They then glued their new circle together to see what new picture was created.

The Scholars Bowl team has started practice for the 2022-23 season. The team enjoys having fun at practice, and today was no exception. They threw bean bags for points each time they got a question correct. If a team got the question correct, they had a chance to get bonus points. However, if they missed the basket, the other team could throw the bag for the same amount of points.
