With a new month comes a new "Healthy to a 'T' from Taher! November is all about texture!

Everest Middle School Student Council will be having a dance for 7/8th grade students on Friday, November 4, from 6 to 8 pm, in the EMS cafeteria.

Miss Larson’s 3rd grade and Miss Santos 4th grade did a Halloween STEM activity where students were challenged to design and create a tower out of pumpkins and tooth picks in under 15 minutes. Great team work activity!

The kindergarten students participated in some fun science experiments today, including a pumpkin volcano! 🎃

Mrs. Hisle's Kindergarten class joined Mrs. Wischropp's 2nd Grade class to carve a pumpkin together as classroom buddies. After listening to the story "Pumpkin Jack", they decided to see what would happen to their Jack-o-lantern in the next few weeks.

Congratulations to the HES Charger All-Stars this week! The students are learning about Habit 2: Begin With The End In Mind.

This week in USD 430...

A few friendly visitors at HES this morning for our monthly assembly.

This dynamic Kindergartener read 100 books 📕 . Awesome 😎

Our local Lions Club Organization provided free vision screenings for our students. Thank you so much for the great service for our students!!!

New artwork on the "CHARGER HONOR WALL"!

Next week is November, Native American Heritage Month!

For the safety and enjoyment of all spectators, we are encouraging all students visiting Charger events to sit with their parents/families or to sit in the stands to cheer on the Chargers.
If students are causing a disruption, they may be asked to leave the game.
According to our Chargers' Honor behavior expectations, students should be attentive always, be good examples for others, and follow proper social etiquette.

Message from Taylor Dvorak, member of the 2022 FFA Band:
We just finished up with practice, so it would be fitting to give you all a recap of the day. Tuesday, we performed our 8 songs in the Indianapolis Artsgarden, a gigantic skywalk over downtown Indianapolis. Then, we took a break for lunch. Afterward, we headed down to the Lucas Oil Stadium (home of the Colts) to have an official soundcheck and practice our main entrance, which is a marching routine to "Fancy Like". We then adjourned for a dinner break, then met up again for practice. We learned 6 new pep band pieces that we are going to play Wednesday.
If you would like to see videos of our performances or watch conventions in general, I will include the links below.

I would like to thank Mr Huftles and Coach Wahwahsuk for refereeing our c team game tonight with JCN. With so many league schools not having enough players for a c team, this game was scheduled to give our girls another opportunity to play. Our Lady Chargers defeated JCN 18-7. #chargeon
