
It's that time again! We are collecting nominations for second quarter Best of the Best! Do you know a student or staff member that deserves recognition? Using the Best of the Best link, found at the top of the website (www.usd430.org), nominate a deserving staff or student to be recognized at the February board meeting and receive a Horton Chamber gift certificate.

your college of choice? Then this class is for you.

WHY: This class includes practical and relevant information on
how to increase your ACT score. It shows you how to control the test and
not let it control you. Because the ACT is predictable, it is highly
susceptible to test-smart strategies. The class covers what will be on the
test and how to master test-taking techniques.
This class is not a practice test!
Learn general ideas about the ACT as a whole and the individual tests:
• English - Learn what ACT test-writers are looking for and how to
approach different types of questions.
• Math - Learn what problem-solving skills and math skills you need.
• Reading - Learn your best method for doing well on ACT reading.
• Science - Learn common question types and what’s really required to
do well.
COST: $25 per student

Junior Class Fundraiser!

We are excited to announce the "Students of the Month" for January. Students recognized in January are; 5th grade Thatcher Strube, 6th grade Tabitha Rice, 7th grade Emaleigh Baker, and 8th grade JJ Kahbeah. We want to congratulate these students for the great example they set for EMS!

Mrs. Wahwasuck recognized the winners of the JOM Native American Reading Challenge for second quarter. It's not too late to start reading.


Students that made the Honor Roll for the first quarter were recognized at the Pep assembly.
