Kansas Reads to Preschool
Thank you Mrs. Dickman for being our guest reader today! She read “How Do You Hug a Porcupine?” Mrs. Dickman also gave each child a pokey ball!
Kansas Reads to Preschoolers is an annual event, since 2005, that promotes reading to all Kansas children from birth through age five in the month of November. Through the statewide program, parents, librarians and caregivers are encouraged to read the chosen title during a selected week and month.

Our 8th graders were chosen to attend a special activity today from KSDE! We were 1 of 10 schools that were given this opportunity!
"November 14 is designated Ruby Bridges Walk to School Day. We know many districts across the state are planning special events for this day.
This year, thanks to the efforts of Kansas legislators and others, Ruby Bridges herself is coming to Topeka to host a special “Fireside Chat” with several area middle and high school students."- KSDE
