Today staff welcomed back some of our Chargers!
It was great to see friends, make big steps and memories, and learn about new surroundings.
Tomorrow we will all be together again - and we can't wait!
Here is to a wonderful 23-24!

I would like to thank our 6th and 8th grade mentors for coming to school a day early to help our incoming 5th and 7th graders. Our teachers selected these kiddos because they are good representatives of our HONOR qualities.
We at EMS are so appreciative of the PTO group who took time out of their schedules to welcome our students back to school. Kayla Bare and team made an amazing balloon arch and welcome back sign that students enjoyed taking pictures in front of. Families enjoyed tasty treats as they toured the school. Thank you families for bringing your student to the Back to School Night! We are looking forward to an outstanding school year. PTO, thank you for everything you do!!!
Students from Horton High participated in a focus group on the needs of Brown County. Thanks - Kaden, Cooper, Piper, Carly, and Desirae for giving up a morning of your summer break!
We are excited to see you at Horton HS! The Staff has been preparing to make this a great year! Wednesday, August 16, will be for 9th grade students and new students to the district. You will need to be in the Commons at 7:50. Returning HS students will join us on Thursday, August 17, at 8:00 a.m. See you then! #ChargeOn!
Did you know PowerSchool has a parent app and it is very simple to get set up!
We are still working on the online payment option! Thanks for your patience during this process.

HES is working on creating a family engaged environment! On back to school night, we would love for your family to participate in our family mission statement activity. This will be located in the front office and you can stop to grab your template on your way out! 🖍️
Your family mission will be posted on our family mission statement board for the school year, so your child will have a home connection here at school. Ideas are posted on the pictures below, along with what the template will look like to help your family start brainstorming. 🏡
Please help us build stronger relationships between home and school! Here is to a great school year! 📚✂️✏️

A district goal is to increase our reading scores. Yesterday, Cathy Esquibel worked with teachers in all subject areas on how to harness reading in their classrooms.
Staff focused on the Big 5 & gained strategies that can be used across all grade levels - no matter the course.
