Fun Friday in Mrs. Brand’s First Grade!


Saturday, February 4, Victoria Jelks won third place at the regional Poetry Out Loud Competition in Olathe, Kansas. This qualifies her for state, which will be held March 11 at Washburn University in Topeka. The state competition will be broadcast on public television station KTWU.

HHS Basketball: Tuesday 2-7-23 (Horton hosting JCN) ***No JV Girls Game*** Start time will be 5pm.
Order of Games will be; JV Boys @ 5:00, V. Girls, V. Boys.


HHS Volleyball: Girls entering Grades 9-12 for the 2023 School Year, Summer League Volleyball Forms will be available for pick up in the MS or HS starting Feb. 8th. Please return forms & money to the Office by March 8th.

Reminder -- Tonight is Teammates Game Drive Night!

A group of our Juniors and Seniors attended Highland Visit Day on Friday, February 3. Students gained a valuable look into campus life. Along with a tour of the college, our students were able to speak with professors, directors and coaches.
The friendly staff welcomed questions and our students left with valuable information for their futures.


There will be NO basketball practice for EMS boys after school Friday, February 3.

FFA Sweetheart crowning is tonight between the girls & boys varsity games vs Valley Falls. Hope to see everyone there!

Congratulations to the HHS Scholars Bowl Team. They are heading back to state after a 2nd place finish at a regionals tonight!
Team members are: Senior Trenton Ottman, Sophomore Dalton Nioce, Senior Jack Allen, Junior Kaden Smith, & Senior Taylor Dvorak.
Scholars Bowl is coached by Angela Bush.
