Horton HS FFA Member Taylor Dvorak has been selected to perform with the National FFA Band at the 2022 National FFA Convention & Expo in
Indianapolis.
Taylor Dvorak, a member of the Horton HS FFA chapter and the Horton HS Charger Band, will be on stage and in the spotlight Oct. 26-29 during the 2022 National FFA Convention & Expo in Indianapolis. Taylor is a Senior and the daughter of Jason and Nancy Dvorak and will be playing clarinet in the National FFA Band. Dvorak submitted an audition tape and was selected to help bring full instrumental balance to the band from a pool of applicants nationwide.
The National FFA Band will perform several times during the national convention and expo. Dvorak will join fellow band members in Indianapolis for rehearsals three days before the convention and expo begins.

This week in USD 430...


Due to the self initiated boil order in the city of Horton, we are asking for all students at Horton Elementary School and Horton High School to bring a water bottle from home.
Throughout the day, the district will offer bottled water as needed.


Thanks to everyone that came out today to make sure the playground equipment at Horton Elementary is ready for students!



Charger PTO families that participated in the fundraiser, the Texas Roadhouse rolls will be available for pick up from Everest Middle School on Tuesday, October 25. The pickup times are 5-7 pm. Families that sold rolls please plan to get your orders Tuesday night, so that you can make deliveries to your family and friends.

Junior Class Parents/Students Meeting -- On Tuesday, October 25, there will be a Junior Class Meeting for Parents and Students at 6:30 p.m. in the HS Commons. All juniors and parents should be at this meeting if possible.

The Senior class is selling cookies to help pay for our Senior Trip to Branson. There are 4 types of cookies or you can get an assorted package. Each dozen is $16. Please see a senior if you would like to buy some cookies. They freeze very well. Thank You!! If you don't know a senior please let Mrs. Hayden know and she will help you out. All orders are due on Tuesday.


Horton High School Volleyball will play their Sub-State VB Tournament at JCN Saturday, October 22nd. They will play their first match against Pleasant Ridge around 3:00pm. The winner of that match will play the winner of JCN & Riverside.
