On the afternoon of Friday, January 26, the distinguished HONOR students of Everest Middle School embarked on an exciting journey to Snow Creek for an exhilarating tubing experience. This special outing served as a well-deserved reward for their exemplary academic achievements, commendable behavior, and unwavering commitment to excellent attendance. The students were amazing representatives of our school. They made us proud today and every day!

Jesse Rice, Class of 2017, came to speak to the juniors on Friday about his career at John Deere and his education at Kansas State University. He talked to them about the career research paper he wrote as a student at HHS . The juniors in LA III with Ms. Bush are researching careers they are interested in once they graduate from Horton High School and the post secondary education that is needed for that particular career.
Seniors are busy learning how to save lives by acquiring their CPR certification today! Big thank you to the Brown County Sheriff's Department for providing this opportunity for our students!

Danlie Merz was selected for the Elementary All-State Choir. There were 768 completed auditions submitted from all over the state, and 160 students were selected to participate. The performance will be held Thursday, February 22, 2024, at 5:00 PM located at the Century II Concert Hall in Wichita. Congratulations Danlie!!!

Due to worsening weather this morning and hazardous road conditions, USD 430- South Brown County is closed on Tuesday, January 23rd. No school today.
Drama Club - We are having to reschedule our talent show this week due to the weather not cooperating and needing to fit in other school activities. The new date will be announced at a later time. Thank you for your interest.
The senior class is selling trash bags. If you would like to purchase any contact a senior or email haydenm@usd430.org. They are $13.00 a piece. Please make checks out to HHS. Last day to order is Feb. 6. All money goes towards senior sneak.
